Need tie rod ends for 63 d100

Post by Wrekkinshop »

Hey my center link is bent. I got a nice straight on for a 71 d100, will it work with my 63? Which tie rod ends do I need? I'd like to get new ones.

Right: MOOG ES140R or ACDELCO 45A0022
Left: ACDELCO 45A0021 (Moog part is disco'd, although you can find them on eBay or whatnot.)

Rareparts makes these too I think, but more $$

Sorry not sure if the rod itself is the same across all years of swepties. How badly was it bent?

Thank you for the part numbers! It was bent pretty bad... Looked like someone hit a stump going 30mph. Got the 71 center link for $10 so I figured why not

Ouch. yeah my parts book but it only goes to 68, but it's the same part number for the tie rod for all of 61-68. Power steering trucks have a different number which seems odd to me. But the ends are the same regardless.

The part numbers are different but as far as I can tell from the pictures the 71 ends have a bend right after the threads. I'm hoping the thread pitch and diameter stayed the same though. Then I can just put 63 ends on my 71 center link.

My centerlink was bent pretty bad to the point that it would bind on the front axle when you would hit the brakes! Somebody in the past managed to reverse over something and hit it so hard it bent the link and axle pretty bad, had to get it glowing with oxy fuel and pound it back, thank you for the tie rod end part #'s, weird how rare the left hand ones are..
