Well I spoke with JW Rod Garage today. I told them about this forum and particular thread, and they said they would love to become a member a be a part of the Sweptline community. So we'll see if they do comment here. Also, quick question, any suggestions on rear disc conversion for the 8 3/4? I'm figuring since Im running new lines I might as well and upgrade the rear. It may take me a little longer to complete the truck, but if its not to much $ I'd like to have it. Thanks again guys for all the help!

Hey everyone, my JW Rod Garage kit arrived last week. I went with coil overs and 2 inch drop spindles. Everything looks great, I did add some gussets to the lower A-arms for added strength to one of the tubes for the coil over mount. I also sent them out for powder coating and went with a textured finish. Can't wait to start!!

I was finally able to upload the pictures, had to figure out how to compress them without ruining the quality.

Finally started getting some work done. Pulled the engine and now debating on how cheaply could I paint the engine bay.
The engine could use a touch up of paint as well!

I'm thinking headers would be a nice replacement....Anyone know which ones fit best?

I'm in the final stages of installing the Crown Vic IFS. All the bushings Ball joints and brake parts are in great shape. Purchased for $350 locally.
It would be hard to convince me to go any other route based on my experience.
Installing a 505 Stroker so the rack and pinion and 12" Discs are a must.

Hey moore7568, can you elaborate more on what you had to do for the crown vic swap or do you have a write up some where? All I can ever find of this installation is before and after but no in betweens haha. Thanks.

I'm with Mike on this, after all the posts I've read I can't seem to find one with a complete step by step. It would be great to hear some details from someone that has done the swap.

Thanks,

Just wanted to bump this up to see if anyone has a step by step for the Crown Vic IFS install (or any IFS install steps)

Yes guys, I'm with you, would be great to hear some more feedback on what ifs setup is the best fitting or most easily fabricated on a sweptline. Who has the best setup for the money and fit?

Ditto, Please, somebody do a Crown Vic IFS install thread. The only crown vic install i have seen was on Gas Monkey and it looked like it was a pain in the a@$. All the others looked scabbed together. If it is the easiest IFS to convert our trucks to, then it should be easy to throw a tech thread together.

I am starting to think that Crown Vic option is not the way to go as i have seen way more MII kits installed than the Crown Vic. I would think if they are so easy, more people would be sharing their experience. :2cents

There are 5 videos on a F100 swap by TexasKnowHow on youtube . A lot of detailed info. Do a Google search and it should bring up his videos.

You will have to narrow a 12" long section of the frame to get the clip to fall into place on a Sweptline.

Thank you, good information.

Now if only we can get one of our sweptline friends that have done the swap to upload some youtube videos of installing a CV IFS on a dodge, we would be in the money.

Yes, I've done it. I have a full album of the process documented on Facebook. Look up the "Slammed Sweptlines" group.

Am i missing something, i looked at all the albums and the one focusing on the CV install stops at the boxing of the frame?? are there any pictures finishing the project??

I had the same problem, I use "Icecream Image Resizer" its free and you can do multiple pics at a time. I test 1 picture until i figure the correct size to meet the size requirements then i put all the pics in a single folder and resize the whole folder. The program then creates a folder in the folder i picked and puts all the pics there and leaves the originals alone. There are many other programs that do the same thing.

Or

You can use a free online picture hosting service and link to the pictures in your post.

I am sure others will chime in on what they think is easiest for them.
