Rear drum backing plate rub

Hello everyone ,my first attempt at using site ,other than viewing lots of great info.i've got grooves on my rear drum backing plate following the shape of pads? Wondering how to correct that,or cause, my truck is a 64 ute

It is most often caused by wheel/drum interference. Weld up the pads on the backing plates and grind/file smooth.
I sold all of my sweptline trucks,except the invisible one. I just couldn't stand to see it go!
