Brake proportioning valve for disc swap

I have a 1964 dodge a100 pickup, and am installing front disc brakes. From what I have found out, the A100 pickup weighs around 3000lbs. I need to find a brake proportioning valve . I've located a 1987 D150 (unsure of engine/options/pullapart). Would anyone here know what the weight of the 87 D150 might be ? Would the proportioning valve be a good choice to use on my 64 A100 pickup ?
I should also note that the brake system is manual brakes..not power.

RamMan.com has everything you will need and it wont be aftermarket or brand X stuff. You will have to call him, he doesn't have much stuff listed on his site.
