E-brake conversion

I'm in the process of installing the grand Cherokee rear end in my 62 Utiline and I would like to use the e-brake cables attached to the new rear. I assumed somebody has done a conversion from the original trans drum brake and was curious on how they did it. Any info is appreciated.

I have the same issue in my crewcab after the motor swap. i was thinking the newer style e -brake handle and cable would probably work. I can't do it because I mounted my fusebox where the e -brake handle should go . Now I also need another option. Let me know what you come up with, i haven't thought about it in a while.

Haha, I just happened to pick up an old fuse box from my buddies wrecking yard today; I'll keep that in mind when I put it in. I was thinking the same thing with a center lever.

Have you seen the E stop electric brake? It's a frame mounted actuator you attach to the cable. It looks like a good solution speedwaymotors.com has em.

The E-Stop product is a viable option. Also used it in a recent restoration on my 67 Mustang. Works like a charm, no reason it wouldn't work on your project. And I did get mine from Speedway. Another tip from Stacey David from his Gearz Show on Velocity TV.

Soopernaut, that was not my intent, but it did my laugh when I saw it. That is what happens when you access and post entries from your smartphone.

For all those are are still laughing, it should be E-Stop. Could have that darn auto-correct, because I don't think that I would have typed that type of a mistake.
