Tie rod

Hey guys.
The tie rod out of my 64 d200.I cleaned it up, pain is it and put two new tire rod ends on, and I have forgotten whether the tie rods point up on top of the steering arms or down. I cleaned it up, pain is it and put two new tire rod ends on, and I have forgotten whether the tie rods point up on top of the steering arms or down could somebody possibly tell me.
