King Pin Dust Caps
Hello. I'm new here at this form and just picked up a '64 D100 so I am sure I'll have a ton of questions, but for now thought I'd start with a a small one. I'm rebuilding the king pins and picked up the Moog kit with the brass bushings, but noticed it doesn't have the dust caps. Anyone know if these are available separately? thank you.

I haven't seen them offered separately but would suggest that you may find separate caps for other make axles that would fit. Another option are engine "freeze" plugs that come in a large variety of diameters. Some are cup-shaped but many are just slightly concave and would work fine.

Re: King Pin Dust Caps
every kit I ever used had the dust caps in it. I would call the place where it was purchased and tell them that parts are missing.
if you are using the brass bushings make sure you take your time reaming them out for a good fit, they should last a long time.

Thanks guys, yeah I took a second look at the part photo on rockauto (https://www.rockauto.com/info/11/8453B_TOP.jpg) and seems they are not included. My bad for not noticing that earlier. Based on what I read here later I might swap it for the Napa kit with ball bearings anyway.

I used the ball bearing kit on my 68 d100 and it made it a lot easier to steer.

Great, thank you. I'll be putting these in soon when I take the front end apart to add disc brakes, going to use Wayne's (The Ram Man) setup.
