Steering Box Grease/Dust Seal???

Post by maxmac »

So I'm now putting al of these things back together on my '66 D100 Town Wagon and am wondering if there is a source for the grease seal and dust boot that goes around the lower part of the steering column, where it slides into the steering box???

I did mine on my 64 Town Wagon a few years ago. The good news is that the coupler is the same one used on Jeep CJs through the late 80s, so any 4x4 shop will carry the parts. I replaced the bearings (the small square blocks) at the same time.

Just Google the part numbers you should come up with some sources.

Good luck
Mike

Thanks Aqmet. I searched the part #'s you gave and actually found a kit that had the the dust seal and the other 2 parts you referenced as a kit!
