I need a W100 pitman arm to fix my bump steer

Post by flipp3r »

Hey guys. I recently picked up a D100 with an axle flip. It has bump steer and I believe the stock pitman arm. It measures around 7.5" center of eye-to-eye. Most of the related posts says that the W100, which is closer to 6.25" is what I need to help my issue. Anyone happen to have an extra laying around, or can direct me to where I can get one?

Kim sent me some pictures of 3 different pitman arms. The longest one (#1) was identical to mine. The shortest one (#3) was an inch and a half shorter, and around 6.125" eye-to-eye. I went with the shortest one and installed it last night. It made a huge difference...the bump steer is gone AND it is easier to turn the wheel!!. When I got this truck and read posts about people liking the i-beam and manual steering, I couldn't understand how this could be possible. Now, that I have put a 14" steering wheel on (instead of the 13.5"), added tires with a stiffer sidewall (albeit wider) and changed the pitman arm, I can see how this is possible.

I want to give a big thanks to this site for the knowledge and Kim for the part!

If you look at the picture of the grey painted arms with tape measure, I have sold the #3 arm. Not sure if I have any more of those.

Can anyone confirm this is the #3 pitman arm? I purchased my truck with the axle flipped and I need a cure for bump steer.

Thank you!

I emailed the seller and it measures just under 8". So this confirms it is #3 on the picture.

The seller has a couple more if anyone is looking.

Thanks.

I still have the # 2 arm in stock. I may have one more W100 arm (#3) maybe on a truck. But would have to confirm that.
