Does any one have a preference when it comes to replacing stock shocks? i want a nice smooth ride and less stiffness. i took out the helper leaf on the rear and that loosened it up a little but still feels stiff.

I've had decent luck with the NAPA shock absorbers.

The Rancho 5000 series are easily available and fairly inexpensive...

I have Rancho 1000 on mine that I don't think are big enough as I think I just bounced off roof going over a whuptidu on I5 at 70mph.

I picked up some Monroe's for my '68 D100. The counter person, and myself, thought it was strange that the front and back were different styles. Front: OE Spectrum-Monroe and Rear: MonroMatic Plus. I haven't put them on yet.
