I scored a $10 aluminum racecar steering wheel at a swap meet this weekend. It's 15", same as my stock wheel, and is rubber coated. With the help of Grant's adapter kit #3314 (amazingly on the shelf at Advance Auto) I got it mounted and working fine.
My old wheel had some pretty bad cracks and out of control flex. It makes a huge difference in the feel of the truck. It also doesn't look too bad. The biggest difference is that instead of the deep dish of our stock wheels, it is fairly flat, so it changes the angle and makes you feel more on top of things.
One big tip--take off the turn signal stalk when you've got the wheel off and straighten it out so your knuckles don't bump it.
I'm liking the new feel of the new wheel,
Joe
You can get similar wheels fairly frequently on Ebay.

Joe, snap a shot of it when you get time. Would like to see what it looks like.

I'd love to get a pic up, but don't have a server. Is there another way to post photos, etc?
Thanks,
Joe
