W200 15" rims?

Has anyone tried fitting a 15" rim over the drums?
It looks very close and I don't have a 15" 8 lug rim to try. Thanks for the input.

i once had a ford with 15" 8 lug rims. dont know if they would fit a dodge. why would you want 15's??

Three main reasons I'd like to run 15's
1 cost, cost, cost
2 more available styles
3 15" rim makes tires look bigger

ok, got to put my take on this.

1= cost, size to size, a 16 isnt any more expensive these days then a 15. 16.5 is, but 16's run about the same.
2=cant argue with the style availability, tons more 15's then anything else. but there are quite a few really sharp 16's out there now.
3= tires will look bigger on a 15. but heres the problem with that theory. a 16 has a larger, and stronger rim lip then most 15's. thus, doing a better job keeping a really large tire on the rim. had many times me or my friends upgraded to 16 or 16.5 rims because a set of 38" to 44" boggers unseated in the mud pit. im not saying dont do it, just trying to make sure you look at all aspects before you make your descision.

16 inch 8 lugs are easy to find. 15 inch 8 lugs are scarce, especially in nice aftermarket styles.

235/75/15 Light truck radials, load range C or D cost EXACTLY the same as 235/85/16 light truck load range D or E.

Don't waste time hunting for nice 15 inch 8 luggers. Was a Ford rim, and the backspacing does not fit right on a Dodge hub.

i ran 16.5x10 ford wheels on the back of my 69. didnt have any issues

This was with 16s. 85 Ford 250HD, 89 or 90 RamVan 3500.
Have also tried the 15 inch 70s Ford 8 lug 15s on a 70s 16" 8 lug PowerWagon. They tore the steering arm OFF of the truck. Backspacing was way wrong.

mine were off the back of a late 70's f350. could be the difference.
