Adjusting parking brake on my 64 D100
Anyone know how to adjust the parking brake? When I apply the parking brake my truck still rolls? My truck is an automatic.

on my 66 the end of the handle inside turned to tighten the cable from inside the truck. if you dont know about this feature, then when you yank it up and down it tends to loosen itself up. see if the last 2 inches of your brake handle spins, if it does, give it a few turns clockwise and see if it gets tighter.

If your 64 is stock it has the parking brake drum
on the rear of the trany, if what Trey said does not
work you will need to adjust it under there, in which
case you will need to back off the adjustment on the
handle in th cab and adjust it at the drum frist.
If it has been altered from stock and has the parking
brake cables to the rear axle, and what Trey said does
not work, then you have to do the adjustment were the
yoke on the cables is by taking up the slack in the
two cables the run to the rear axle.
Most often it is just the adjustment on the handle
that will do the job.
