Replace Shocks on 69 D200

Post by cbody70 »

Rookie question. Is it necessary to remove the lower shock brackets when changing front and rear shocks. That makes me nervous since they are fastened by 2 of the spring bolts. To my simple mind leave the brackets in place and its one bolt on top and one on the bottom to replace the shock and your done. There's got to be more to it than that. What am I missing?

Should be 2 nuts to get each shock off. :Thumbsup No need to remove any brackets.
