sticking brake pedal
My brake pedal on my 68 d200 is super sticky. I push it down and it will not come back up unless I force it. I do have power brakes. Would the master cylinder or brake booster cause this?
Re: sticking brake pedal
I think the pedal should return even if the master cylinder is stuck.
I would disconnect the pedal from the push-rod and see if it does it by itself. If it does, make sure the return spring is working. You may have to take the shaft out that goes through the clutch and brake pedal and check/lube the bushings or find out what is binding.
Spraying with penetrating oil might fix it with the extra travel to work it back and forth while the push-rod is disconnected.

Re: sticking brake pedal
Thanks for the advice. The bolt that holds the pedal on had alot of rust on it. Had a heck of a time taking it out. Got some penetrating oil soaking on the bolt and bushings. Going to clean the rust off tomorrow.
