Oil pan clearance problems with front axle flip?
My 318 has a rear sump pan, and it looks like if I flip the axle, it will hit the shallow part of the pan. Does it clear alright, or do you guys modify the pan?

a stock truck pan is a front sump. a correct stock pan will probably cure your prob.
here's a pic of mine on the stand, shortly before it went into the truck

So the stock front sump pan works with the flip? If not, I have a 360 rear sump pan.

Re: Oil pan clearance problems with front axle flip?
The front has the needed clearance their, or at least judging from the ones that have them it looks like the most likely candidate, but rear sump can work also, but will need for some differences made like, my 440 has a rear sump oil pan, I know I can take it down at least 2-3" with no problems but it I go further then I have a choice, change motor mounts which will move the engine & Trans back 1" and the sump will clear with no problem, or if not that way then cut and take an additional inch off the front of the sump. I have never seen the front sump on a lowered truck however it does from the input of owners seem it may clear with no modifications

mine has a front sump and it cleared fine when I had the axle flipped...It was about even with the frame, so if the axle was going to hit the pan it would hit the frame also..

outstanding picture slick
I thought about adding coil spring where your airbag mounts are at that exact level, this would give me more cornering and it would insure the oil pan didn't hit, from your picture I can see that would definetly be a serious problem

Re: Oil pan clearance problems with front axle flip?
it would definitely need some kind of bumpstop to avoid bottoming out the pan..
