Wheelstuds for Tallzag kit???
What wheel studs are you guys running with the Tallzag disc brake kit? I am finding ones with different knurl diameters and knurl lengths, not sure which ones to order. Got any part numbers?

Re: Wheelstuds for Tallzag kit???
i bought a set of Moroso 3" studs of the correct knurl diameter, then cut them to the length i wanted on a lathe. i thought about using the stock ones, but they are a hint to short. probably ok with a steel wheel, but i definetly wouldn't want to run a mag wheel that way. if you'd like i can give you the part # of the wheel studs i used. i bought an extra set, there hanging on the wall at my shop.

Matt, that would rock. I "think" I found the right ones, they are Dorman # 610-174.1

Re: Wheelstuds for Tallzag kit???
I'm running the American Racing wheels, they are fairly thick, and with the rotor between them and hub theres hardly any thread. Plus cutting the swedges off the stock studs to get them out, I'd feel better with new studs.MountainMoparRobin wrote:Why isn't yours needs new studs??? the others that did the swap used the same stock ones?? Re: Wheelstuds for Tallzag kit???
now I see, 8lb hammer and me is all that I ever needed to get the old ones out, but things aren't always the same, the link was to Mopar and the wheel studs is what they had shown, I have been able to go to parts stores and get wheel studs, if you take one in (instead of them trying to find them in the computor) you shouldn't have any problem (but then again it will depend on who you get) getting longer wheel studs, I have aftermarket rims
