answered my own bumpsteer question

Post by motomatt383 »

went to NY this weekend (700 miles oneway) loaded my truck & car trailer to the max & drove home. while driving home, i noticed it drove great, one hand on the wheel. while stopped for gas i noticed the rear of the truck was weighted heavy & it was sitting lower than the front (my truck usually has a "Hot Rod Rake" to it). where i'm going with this is its obvious to me it needs several deg's of shimming to the frt axle, to get the caster (i think) back into it

i don't have a pic of both, but that should give you an idea how much weight i was dealing with, that's 6 big block chevies. i don't know how much i hauled, probably don't want to know. without trailer brakes it was a bear to get stopped quickly. thank goodness i put the Disc's on it this spring.
