Wheels/Lug Nuts

Post by centralwildcat »

Hello ya'll, I was wondering if there would be a problem with trying to mount up newer rims to my 69 d200...I found this chart that has the pattern/lug nut size for Dodge Trucks:
46-81 3/4-1 TON 2WD 8 on 6.5 in. 1/2
82-93 3/4-1 TON 4WD 8 on 6.5 in. 1/2
94-04 RAM 2500-3500 2/4WD 8 on 6.5 in. 9/16

What I wanted to know if I could put the newer 94-04 8 on 6.5" with 9/16 lug nuts on my 69 D200?? I'd think there would be a problem as our lug nut size for the older years are 1/2??? Does anyone know? :thinking mattc

Matt,
I think the extra back spaceing on those 94+ wheels micht be a problem up front. :thinking

I have access to the newer wheels. My daughter works at the local Dodge dealer. I will snatch a couple of the newer wheels with the tires mounted and just try them for fit and clearance. It may take me a week or two to get the time, but I will post how it goes.
