Sloppy steering fix??

Post by devilbrad »

Has anyone successfully adjusted their steering box? I havent tried, I can see the adjusters, just not sure which ones to turn and how much. I have almost a 1/8th turn of play at steering wheel and pitman arm doesnt move, so its definitely in the box. Trying to make this thing driveable, just ordered the Tallzag kit and some new wheels and tires. Thanks.

Along with the spring buhings, shocks, rag joint etc, I took the slack out of the steering adjuster using the screw & locknut on the side of the steering box, I also topped steering box up using white grease lubraplate.
I also greased the front end.
Major differance in the feel of the truck :Thumbsup
