john, i did the disc swap, installed the 72 master cylinder w/power brakes. i had posted a similar situation w/ a low pedal. upon doing some investigation i found that there was a small round bushing that was supposed to be in the m/c(it was in the box, but i didn't now where it went), i installed it, and it brought the pedal up about 2.1/2 inches. feel free to call me if ya like, 919-291-7618 anytime eastern time, semi-reasonable 7am to 10:30pm.

Matt--

Where does that bushing go? I haven't needed it.

it goes into the hole on the back of the M/C where the push rod goes into it. i put it in there & reinstalled the M/C.

Glad to hear it, John.

Matt--

My brakes seem to be working fine w/o it. If things go south, I guess I'll know what to look for.

Thanks,
Joe

i'm sure all these trucks weren't exactly the same, different vendors & options etc. so your's may not need it!

:Thumbsup Hey John, glad you got yours right!!! as we discussed on the phone, it great how smoothly & straight they stop with disc brakes instead of drums.

Being the test rat for tallzag disk brakes I feel good to see you guys having success with your conversions. Sounds like everyone really likes the performance thus far. I told you guys night and day difference! Im going to be dropping in the 440 soon so Im thinking of using his rear 8 3/4 disk brackets for total stopping power. Ill let you know how it goes asap....Cliff
