I want a 3" lift on my 2WD....... 1965 I was wondering will stock springs for a 4WD work or will that be too much lift? what about pulling the leafs off a 80's ram?

Chances are,you will get no added lift by swapping to stock 4x4 springs.
Now the guessing starts.I would think an aftermarket 6" lift 4x4 spring in your 2x4 MIGHT get you a 3" lift. The only way to know for sure is to start measuring, and comparing. :2cents

I would think a 4x4 lift would work on a 2x4? BUT, the pitman arm might be a bit differant. :thinking I've seen it done to 48-55 GMC 2x4s. :Thumbsup

Mu 66 was lifted about 3" when it was on the stock frame. Looked like a pre-runner,... kinda. They used the old-fashioned lift blocks, but I think they are unsafe on the front axle. I think it's time you talked to a spring shop. Or hit the wrecking yards and start measuring. :study
