eaton detroit springs

Post by dodged200 »

Just wanted to see if anyone had bought the 3" lowering springs from Eaton and if you have any pics of before and after? I dont think 3" is very much so I'd like to see before I make a decision. Thanks in advance.

Ok, I'm wanting to lower my truck quite a bit. Just wondering if I bought the 3" eaton springs and lowered the front axle 3" do you think it would be too much? Would I have clearance problems(axle hitting frame or oil pan, things of that nature) I'm flipping the rear axle, putting discs all the way around and 20's front 22's rear. Trying to go the cheapest and easiest route so I can get it done quickly.

I don't think 3" would be too much. That's what I'm planning on doing. Any more and there might be a problem with oil pan clearance with axle travel. I was thinking if it turned out to be a bit tight I would add some rubber bump stops so it wouldn't hit the pan.
