Front axle quesiton

Post by steven »

On my '67 D200, the rod that connects the two tires, is it a tie rod, or the drag link? Whats the diff?

Anyways, that rod is bent a little on my truck. I was wondering if thats how its supposed to be, or not. It is hardly noticeable, and I dont find any marks on it or anything that would indicate that someone hit something. Thanks :Thumbsup

that would be the tie rod. the drag link is the one between the pitman arm and the tie rod. the tie rod doesn't have to be perfectly straight, the tie rod ends are used to align the front end.
