Do chevy and dodge have same bolt pattern

Post by steven »

When I order these front rotors for an '82 chevy 3/4 ton 2wd, I need to know if my spendy wheels I bought that fit on my '67 d200 will fit. Also, are the RH lugs the same? thanks

All 8 lugs are the same. You will loose the RH threads, unless you want to put in new studs. Im going to change the ones on the rear. That way I can use the spline drive kit and 17" wheels off my 88

There are two different 8 lug patterns: 8x6.5 and 170mm. I believe the 170mm is only used on newer Fords.

Also, Chevy started using a 9/16" stud back in the 60's. Dodge uses a 1/2" stud. So it isn't a big deal to put the Chevy wheel on a Dodge, but if your wheel is built for the 1/2" stud, it might not clear the Chevy 9/16" stud. Just make sure.

IIRC, the Chebby wheels fit anything else (except the newer Ford that was previously mentioned), but only Chebby wheels fit the Chebby. The hole for the center hub is smaller. :study

My buddy tried to use a spare set of my Dodge wheels/tires on his 1 ton Chebby van and they wouldn't clear the end of the axle. But this was at least 10 years ago now. Dunno what's changed since then, at least to be absolutely sure.

That's my :2cents
