Air Brakes on 1966 Dodge D200?
Air Brakes on 1966 Dodge D200?
Were air brakes ever installed on the 1966 Dodge D200 trucks? Or, were air brakes reserved to be installed on larger Dodge trucks only? The 1966 factory Service Manual, doesn't clarify, which model Dodge trucks actually had the air brake system? Am I assuming correctly, that the air brake system, did not have any hydraulic components(Meaning no hydraulic master cylinder and wheel cylinders, etc.)and just operated from air pressure delivered from an air compressor and air lines? Please clarify this(Anyone?)? Thanks!

D and C trucks 600 and larger had air brake option.
these trucks had a compressor that ran off the engine
and air tanks that held the compressed air till needed.
System is common, in a updated form, on big rigs today.
