65 clutch hints

Post by STU »

I have a 65 w/318 3 on the tree. It has been almost ten years since I replaced the clutch. Can't remember if it is 10.5 1x23 or the 11 something x10.Any hints would be appreciated and what would the model or choices be of this tranny. Books I have access to are only car service manuals. I am trying to get it ready for a cruise night. I am thrilled at the information I have found at this site on steering box reman services CAN'T wait to drive her again after it has sat for 6 YEARS!!! Happy to join this site. :Thumbsup

11" 10 spline with a 3 arm pressure plate is
the most common stock application.
That is assuming that it is the stock set up
for a 65 with hydro bell clutch system.
Only a 3 arm pressure plate will work,
so if you see anything else at the parts
counter make them take it back.
