Push rods for a poly?

Post by Daddiojoe »

Where can a guy get new pushrods for a poly? I've got a friend who needs some for a '58, I think.

Thanks,

Joe

Thanks, guys. I'll forward the info. Trey-- I think probably new pushrods are a better bet anyways.

I knew I could get help from the sweptliners.

Be careful..

about which pushrods you use. The Kanter-supplied pushrods will not fit a poly with hydraulic lifters, although they say they will. I went through this hassle when I rebuilt my poly with hydraulic lifters. I ended up buying the correct pushrods from Nielsen Cams in Utah. Much more expensive, but they fit.

:goodpost this is correct for the change to hydro
lifters or the class 3 engines. The hydro lifters
are taller than the solids, so need a shorter push rod.
There are other differances if I recall also on the
class 3's like the rockers....

Robin> no, Neilson does not have a web site (little old
fashon that way). I had a 800 number for them, just
can't find it right now....
