slant six headers
slant six headers
does any one know if some one makes headers for slant six swepts? if they dont, will an a-body header fit w/o lots of bending and denting, or will "dutra duals" fit better? sorry for the string of questions, thanks in advance!

The best part of the Dutra Duals is that you don't lose the carb heating, which helps while the engine is warming up. All my /6's were cold blooded. Even when I lived in Tucson, it took the same amount of warm-up time as when I was in Oregon. I always wanted the Dutra set-up, but I got out of Darts and /6's long ago. Though with gas like it is, I'm thinking about another one.
IMHO, I think the hedder is best used if you are going with a 2bbl carb or something. The intake seems too restricted to take advantage of it. But this is my opinion, as I never ran anything other than stock.

Be VERY CARFULL when dealing with Clifford performance. The customer service went straight to the toilet when the old man died. If they have it in stock you should be OK but if they don't you will be waiting a while.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely with a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, beer in one hand, cigar in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming,"what a ride"

the main differance between the A body and truck applications is the starter placement. The truck have
a lower placement than the cars in most cases except
with the automatic trans.
