My 69 D100 has a 225 six and 3 speed standard. I am looking at a 1974 318 4 speed from a 1 ton farm truck. Is this an easy swap or what will need to be changed?
Thanks

/6-3sp to V8-sp swap
prairiedog, make sure you unbolt the steel moter mounts from the frame & you'll also need the complete drive shaft to run the 4 spd , trans mount is the same as the 3 spd , also get the radeator(sp)

For 4 speed Sweptlines, you'll be running a 2 piece
drive-line and will need the carrier bearing and its
c-member which attaches to your frame. This drive
line out of the 1 ton truck will probably be of a
different length and the u-joints may very well not
match your yoke on the 8 3/4 rear on your D100. The
ideal way to go is to find a '69-'71 D200 donor truck
with all the goodies you'll need.
