while workin Friday one of my customers is a Chrysler dealership, a mechanic had a 4.7 liter engine (287 ci) out of a Jeep Cherokee, with the valve covers off and timing cover also removed. The 4.7 had 2 over head cams that sit right on top of the valves and the lobes roll over the valves opening and closing them, no push rods
hmm, then to my greatest surprise it has a timing chain not a stupid rubber belt 
This is the first view of a newer engine, and gives me a whole new outlook on possiblities
