slant six/3speed to 4 speed?

I don't believe there are any "fully synchronized" 4 speed tranny's that will bolt up directly.

Unless I am mistaken, the A833 will bolt up to a mechanical slant six bell, but I don't know which. They were a popular conversions among a certain crowd of which I was aware during the gas crisis years of the 1970s.

i also have a slant 6 w 3 speed and i want to go to 318 with a 4 speed ill probably be hitting you up for some info and insight as well

You replied to a 16 year old thread. None of those people are active here anymore. JeffC posts once in a blue moon but has a different name. None of those other posters have visited this site in many years. Some may not even be alive anymore.

But it was nice to re-read stuff from old friends that don't hang out here anymore, Cowboy, Trey and Jeff in particular... , and sad that some have likely passed.

I stumbled on this site around 2010 when I purchased my first Sweptline. Certainly enjoyed reviewing many of the posts and priceless information from many of the members. Although I have only met a few in person, many I consider good friends. Sad that most of the interest has moved on to Facebook ( multiple sites and a lot of interest in these trucks). I know some of you do not participate in the Facebook pages, but if you decide to, I suggest you sedate first (Terry ), so you can enjoy the questions, spelling, grammar .

As a relative noob here, I don't know the older posters, and don't pay much attention to the dates. But I'll make a point of posting to old threads when doing searches from now on, if only to give Terry an opportunity to gloat.

But here's the real deal: I use search a lot, because I'm looking for data with real experience behind it. So if, during a search, I see something that looks like it might have information of use to others, if I have something to add to it to benefit someone else doing searches in the future, that information will be there for them.
