Need origional part # for carb....cant find it in parts book

Engine, transmission, rear-end, driveline, fuel system etc..

Need origional part # for carb....cant find it in parts book

I am looking for the origional part # for the carb origionally installed on my truck. I have a reprint parts book...but it seems thaet have skipped a few pages every ow and then. So i went to the online parts book and found the missing pages but not the part # i as looking for.

Here are my specs:

1965 D100 2 wheel drive
serial # 116 1533076
225 slant six
w/o Loadflite
w/o C.A.P.
warren built
And it was a carter BBS
1965 Utiline D100 Shorty.../6...3spd...orange...102,000 miles.

1970 Shortbox D100...318...727...almond white..467,000 miles...currently in restoration..

1991 Dodge Ram 50

There is another way you might be able to get the number. In the back of the '65 Shop manual under Specifications, the Fuel section should list the carb's model number for your combination (225, man. trans, no CAP). In the parts book you can then look up the carb using the model number instead of the description.

Sorry I can't help you, but all I have is a '67 book and a '68 supplement. In '67 your combination took a BBS-4177S and in '68 it was a BBS-4334S. Good luck.

bean if it's the holly I think it's a 1821 , Big J just put a new carb on his 68 /6 I can look to see what #'s are on it , it's a carter I think( slept sence then )

I know mine had a Carter BBS on it. I dont think the 68 and my 65 had the same carb models on them...not sure

Yes... I'm dragging this thread from the grave. Still searching for the OEM Part# for this carb. I ran across another stash of NOS Carters at a shop in Orlando, FL... all have the mopar #'s on the box. Guy says he has 8 BBS carbs in the back.. he just needs the number i need to see if he has one. and get this he wants $100 a piece for the BBS'
