yep - the bidding will probably get out of hand but you never know with the one missing the mains... i have two 440 engines - i could buld it up with the 10 under cast crank, rods and mains from the one that spun a rod bearing and wiped a cam. i'll probably use the steel cranked 69 block that is built and ready to go until i could save the money to have the machine work done... that is if the price is right... we'll see, i check almost daily on epay for a 426 wedge...HellBellyD100 wrote:Mna those blocks are in the heart of New York!

maybe if i win the lottery... but then i'd find a numbers long block with the right date on everything and then quit my job and work on my trucks 24/7... yes, i know, i only own one sweptline but if i won the lottery i know of two three more that i'd buy right now and one is a CSS/HPP! sure it's not for sale but i know what would buy it... only in my dreams...

Ben - if someone can get the block from NY to Moorefield WV - I will be picking up a truck load of Lil Red parts there next weekend and could bring it from WV to Florida for you.CSS-Registry wrote:they are in Hauppauge, NY - does anyone live near there?HellBellyD100 wrote:Ben,

Crimeney..... the block is on Long Island . If
someone could get it off of Long Island and at least
get it somewhere west of Syracuse, I'd railroad it
to my place and then drop it off at Goldies if you're
heading there for the nationals. If not, I have a
couple of friends who usually take in the Carlisle
show and could probably hook up with you

i am not going to the Nat's this year since it will be my 10 year wedding aniversary at the end of that month... i am planning on carlisle and catching a ride with Terry from MO - should be a fun trip.
can anyone pick it up off of long island this week if i get the winning bid? and then over the next six months get it west of syracuse to John?

Dang Ben, sorry it didn't work out.
But if it makes you feel better, just think, the guy who won had to pay more for it, probably more than he really wanted to pay!
