Longbox driveline length?

Just curious...I have a 66 longbox 413 auto with an 8 3/4 rear... end to end my driveshaft is 65" long...to me it seems short I think it should be about 67" long...before I go junkyarding looking for one I just wanted to confirm that they are out there...I was going to have on built, but the two places I talked to here in town won't go over 65"...thanks...

Hey Slick,
I don't have the 413 but instead the 440/727 8 3/4 rear end and its a LWB don't know the measurement but it is a one piece, truck was a /6 with 3 on tree before I put in the 440, then the drive shaft had to be shortened, if that helps, wait until I get off work tonight and I'll crawl underneath and measure if ya need it.

Slick do you have the long or short shaft tran's ? , I have a 66 lwb but with the 318 poly , I also have the long drive shaft out , but it's for the long shaft 3 spd trans they should be the same lengh let me know

I believe it's the long shaft....mtnmoparrobin I would appreciate it if you could measure it if it's not to much trouble...thanks..
