Motor Mounts and Bell Mounts

Does anyone have a source for the Motor and Bell mounts from my 1964 D100 3/4 Ton 4X4 225? It has the big metal and rubber horseshoe shaped motor mounts. The regular side over cross member bell housing mounts.

Yes, I said D100 3/4 Ton. It has a special equipment sticker in the door and has closed nuckle Dana 44/60 combination. The registration is for a D100.

its been a long time since i replaced mine,seems like i had to take it in to the parts store and find a guy who was willing to look in the books,but they were available new.i think they might have been listed for a van or something. dusty

Was this truck converted to a 4x4? It would be tagged
a W100 if it was originally a 4x4.... the pre-'69
W100's were all equipped with the DANA 60/44 axles.
I haven't found a source for the insulators for the
bell crossmember or the engine brackets.... that is..
if the engine bracket insulators are the big square
types.

Ed, first of all, whatever it says on your registration is irrelevant. DMVs screw up all the time. Second, the vin is where u get correct info on the truck, but occasionally cabs get swapped and vin plates dont, or trucks get converted to 4wd post factory.
If its a factory 4x4, it will be a W, not a D. Period, no ands, ifs or buts about it. If its a 100 on the factory vin plate, its a 1/2 ton. Period...u know the rest. W100's which are 1/2 ton 4x4x's, used 3/4 ton (200) axles prior to 69.
Curious; what is on the SERT tag?

It came with a closed 44 front and a dana 60 rear. The 44 had felt scraper which a 4x4 shop said was military. The metal tag in the door says D100 and it has a chrysler / dodge sticker that say it had a frame reinf.

The d100 would lead you to believe it was modified by someone after the sale? There is no indication that it has been swapped. All of the parts are stadard w200 parts whenever I have gone for parts. Even the remote transfer case mounting brackets are riveted on and show no signs of modification. I guess it could have been a frame swap but still didn't ever see any sign of swap. I did get it 14 years into it life so I guess someone could have swapped it.

Those big square block insulators for the engine
aren't re-produced that I know of.... same goes
with those cross-member insulators.... I thought
someone [JimE?] had looked into someone making
the cross-member insulators at one point. Anyway,
the best place to start is your local boneyards.

I don't know about the motor mounts, my W100 has a 318 and they don't look anything like a horseshoe. If the trans mounts look like this:

I believe the "horseshoe" style crossmember insulator
was used on the 300's & up. You should check with
Imperial Services, as Robin pointed out.... but I
thought that these were the guys that someone did
send a sample insulator to so they could re-pop them
but they never got it done.... I could be wrong on
that though. It would be cool if they are making
them now!

Hey Robin. You got it, Imperial Services. That's the only place I know of for the tranny mounts. What's the other place you're talking about?

Hey John, I bought a pair of mounts from Imperial Services. As I recall, I ordered them the first or second week of August last year. Cost around $110 EACH delivered. Told me they would take 2-3 weeks. I just got them Monday. So it was more like 23 weeks.

The mounts look good, but they have a couple of problems. The rubber part was made almost an eigth inch too thick. This causes the mounts to ride high on the cross member, so getting the bolts to line up is a pain in the a$$. Also, the stud was cut an eight too short, so when the nut bottoms on the bellhousing, it's left a couple of threads short. Hopefully, 242 loctite will keep them from backing off.
