Any rear axle experts?

Post by BigBlockTrucks »

I have already installed a 1980 Dana 60 axle 4:10 in my truck which has the smaller yoke.
I am toying with the idea of using a newly found 68 axle in favor of the 3:54 gear and Detroit locker. It has the large yoke. Can I just swap the yoke from 68 to the 80 axle?

I know there are different spline counts on the axle shafts. I’m not sure if there is on the pinion spline.
