NP 435 Rebuild Parts

Post by 1969D300 »

I plan to pull my NP 435 from my 69 D300 soon to replace the clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, and pilot bushing, and do a resurface on the flywheel. While I'm at it, I want to go through the transmission and replace the synchros, bearings, and rebuild the shifter. When I drive it now I have to let the engine RPM slow down considerably between shifts to prevent grinding and the shifter is very sloppy, so I'm hoping freshening it up will help make the truck more enjoyable to drive.

Where is a good place to source high quality parts for the transmission rebuild? Novak? Napa?

Novak seemed to have all the bases covered at one time, but as of today I can't say & I have not dealt with them personally.

H.R Clutches seems to be another popular choice. www.hrclutch.com . I also found a good inspection video on YouTube by Southpaw Autoworks titled NP435-Inspection, where they are showing a np435 used in a Ford,...pretty cool stuff. I"m planning for the same stuff with my np435 as well. Good luck!

Sorry for not noticing this post earlier. I ended up with the BK127DWS.
Think it's SLR176K for the shifter cain repair kit.
