shifter gets stuck
shifter gets stuck
I have a 69 d-100 w 3 on the tree and sometimes I have difficulty shifting into 2nd gear and other times it gets stuck in 2nd gear ..any suggestions on how to remedy it

Fix shifter linkage bushings to remove slop and adjust properly. May also be how you shift where problem is.
My truck is younger than me.

the linkage on the shift column was out of adjustment ..found a video on youtube to show how to fix it

Goon - Is it the really shaky camera video linked below? Seems like a similar set-up. Mine locks up sometimes going from 2nd to 3rd....have to coast to the side of the road, get out and shake the linkages...not fun. I'll try that adjustment.
