Starting to set up the slant 6 in my 1970 1/2 ton after a rebuild.
What are you guys running for initial timing on your slant 6’s?
I’m on the edge of the Rockies so I’m at a decent altitude which I realize can be a factor.

not sure but start with stock ,altitude shouldn't effect timing that much
its jetting the carb that will be the biggest improvement

forgot about that
its a great and comprehensive wright up
at high altitude your not have as much oxygen so jetting your carb and then dialing your timing are going to be your greatest improvement
so would start at stock then figure out your fuel mix then you can advance/retard to optimize your performance
