Linkage

Post by 68swep »

I hope im in the right spot with this. I jumped in my 68 today and coildnt get into first or reverse. I got to second and 3. This happened before and I had to take the linkage off the transmission, shift to first, then hook the linkage up again. That was 2 months ago. Whats the solution for this so I wont need to do it again?

You didn't mention what transmission or shifter you have. I'm going to assume it is a 3 speed column shifter. The steering column mechanism, is worn and needs to be rebuilt. It is a common issue.
