1967 fargo - canadian

Post by Isuzustorm »

Looking for information, I am wondering if the 318 in a canadian fargo is the same as a dodge? Some information said it might be different until the year later. Any help would be appreciated.

Some have said that the Poly 318 was still used in Canada in 1967. In the US, the LA 318 was used. If you have the truck in question, you can easily tell by looking at the engine. The Poly has scalloped looking valve covers with 2 bolts holding them on. The LA has more rectangular looking valve covers and has more bolts that are around the edge.

Poly was used in Canadian trucks and cars part way into 1967. I have a 67 D300 with the Poly 318 sitting in my yard.
My truck is younger than me.

Back to your original question. Canadian Dodge or Fargo if its the same year and same series engine , Then no difference. Only difference between the trucks is the Name. :salut

You don't actually say which Fargo you have. I pass through your area each summer on my way to Thunder Bay to visit my sisters. Would love to see your truck if you are actually close to Terrace Bay. Post some pictures as well as we all love pictures.
