I just purchased a 71 D500 dump truck. The owner is the grandson of the original owner and knows nothing about the truck.
On the left hand side of the dash there is a button that says Muncie. I am guessing this is a hi/lo transmission and the button is the activates this. It is a 4 speed trans and the engine is the 361 option.
Any help is appreciated.

Has nothing to do with the tranny. Part of the PTO/dump system.
