'67 318 PCV Routing

'67 318 PCV Routing
I suspect my aftermarket PCV system is causing my cab tuning issues (too much idle bypass air). I want to return to a stock-ish system so I've ordered a new stock PCV but I don't remember how it was plumbed. Anyone got a pic handy, or can confirm that it was plumbed the same as most modern systems (PCV in one valvecover plumbed into carb base, breather in opposite valvecover)? I think I can gut the aftermarket PCV so it's just an elbow and then plumb the stock one between that and the carb base.

Here is how it is set-up on my 1968 318 with Edelbrock 600 4 barrel
front port to driver side valve cover grommet/valve.

Wally, do you know what p/n that PCV is? Based on RockAuto I ordered a V180. Will be trying it out this weekend if I can get the Jegs-brand PCV apart and turned into just an elbow.

Not sure actually, it is the same as the ones on the 71 and up Muscle cars. I have a couple original ones if you don't find it. Original is the metal style.

usually located on passenger side with breather cap on drivers. pcv runs to manifold vacuum

To test your PCV valve: Pinch off the vacuum hose from the PCV with needle nose pliers. The idle speed should drop 50 - 100 RPM with a properly functioning PCV valve.
