Electric Oil Pressure Sender

Post by Wildergarten »

My old 1969 W200 had an electric oil pressure gauge. It's worked flawlessly for 50 years and has zero potential to leak in the cab, so I'm inclined to prefer it to running a hose through the firewall to the dash. My plan is to use it on the '68 truck I'm building with a White Gauges decal on the gauge face to deal with the differences between '68 and '69 (when they put the text on the glass).

The interesting thing is the sender. It is marked "Introl" on top with the numbers "E9" on one wrench flat and "80" on the other. I'm assuming the latter number indicates the pressure scale, but I see no other information on this site about that system as to whether there are replacement or equivalent parts available.

Does anybody know anything about this sender/gauge system who would care to enlighten me?

I found a chap selling them as NOS under Part Number3488609 for a mere $189.00. Mine still works, so I may just paint it.

Then there's a new one on eBay for $10 with the gauge! https://www.ebay.com/itm/Oil-Pressure-S ... SwmjZeMPur

possibly, E9 is manufacture date, May 1969, 80 is pressure rating, introl is manufacturer
