Check the gear on my camshaft out. Bet you never seen anything like it in a 69 sweptline with a 225. The gear on the oil pump is fine, the nylon gear on distributor is damaged,the camshaft gear is destroyed. That's 8,000 miles on a long block the good news is the builder is taking care of it. Sorry for poor photo quality, but damage is still easy to see.

Not sure it had to be defect in cam, teeth were splintered.
