Transmission mount

Post by GMAN69 »

I need help, I have a 1969 d100 with 225 & manuel transmission. I need a transmission mount. Every parts place shows one, but it's the wrong one mine is flat and about one inch thick. All I can find are kinda round and bolt through a drop down cross member, my cross member is straight. I would appreciate any help, this truck has been my baby since Feb. 1995 passed down from my dad who got her in 1982.

Look at other brand mounts. S10 and Danger Ranger 5 speeds used flat mounts, so did some Jeeps and 73-91 Chebbies
If I didn't build it, it ain't mine.

Seeing as you as showing signs of being an "interchange guru," I'm looking for rubber NP201 transfer case mounts.

VPW and Kanter both used to have those... :thinking

Interchange guru? Just a cheapskate. Mopar stuff is expensive, GM not so much.

They're not in either current catalog. Nor are they made by promerican or Steele. I may just turn a mold and cast my own in polyurethane.

$100.60 fir the complete set. 61-75 International. Travelallparts.com

Or just use generic shock or swaybar endlink bushings. GM stuff.

Look for the t-case, not what it is mounted in.

Right case, wrong mount pad. I doubt those will take the torque from a BB Mopar dragging logs in low range.

I'd make them first. Amazon has good kits for two-part polyurethane elastomers in various durometers.

Flat and looks like a rubber brick on a piece of flat steal with 2 holes going up thru for trans and 2 down thru on ends for crossmember?
(or could be other way). I think I found mine by looking up a Dodge motorhome and even then its was NOS MOPAR and from Ebay. I have the part# at home for it somewhere.

Do a search on ePay, there about the only place you will find them. Most of the NOS stuff has been depleated.

This it? Same problem I had with my '71 with the 318 and 727 trans. 1972-78 Dodge motorhome rear trans mount. 8" overall, 4" center between inner holes and 7" center between outer holes. Replaces Mopar part# 3632984. Currently on ebay for $75.
