1964 d300 np435 question
I wanted to convert my 1964 D100 poly 318 from 3 on the tree to np435 4 speed
I found a salvage 1964 D300 with a np435 and the ebrake on the rear of the transmission behind a 318 poly
Will this fit my D100 without a lot of fabrication?
Thanks
Robert

Re: 1964 d300 np435 question
Be sure it is a 435. Cast iron top cover is a 420. Aluminum top cover is 435.

It will not have the correct yoke for your D100 driveline.

But don't D100,D200 and D300 use the same yoke? What is incorrect, the color?PwrWgnDrvr wrote: ↑Thu Aug 02, 2018 6:27 pmBecause its out of a D300.digdoug wrote: ↑Thu Aug 02, 2018 5:54 pmWhy not?PwrWgnDrvr wrote: ↑Mon Jul 30, 2018 3:34 pmIt will not have the correct yoke for your D100 driveline.

Re: 1964 d300 np435 question
I'm running a slant six with an NP435 in my 61 short bed half ton. It all fits together fine.
The rear mounts, which are on the yoke, hook up to the bell housing.
Hope that helps.

Re: 1964 d300 np435 question
most 300s run the bigger yoke just change them
