Cam Swap in the truck?

Anyone know if it is possible to do a Cam swap without removing the engine? I have a '69 w/318. Right now I have the radiator out getting re-cored and I see the support in the front might be an issue. But there are a couple of holes there. Just wondering if anyone has personal experience?

Thanks!

Remove the intake, valve covers, water pump, timimg cover, remove the radiator and front grille. Been awhile, may not have to remove the grille.

Most of that is already off, including heads, lifters and pushrods. There is the front support right in the middle front with 2 "passages" or holes. Just wonder if the cam will go thru those? Or if I have to unbolt the motor mounts and get it to line up correctly into one of those holes.

I haven't pulled off the timing cover since I will do the oil pan gasket and rear main and HV oil pump at the same time.

I did a big block cam swap no problem, would think small block would be easier .

Keep in mind once the first bearing surfacce is past the first bearing things get a lot shorter.
