transmission mount

Post by fireguyfire »

Restoring my 1970 d100 that has a slant 6 and a 4 speed manual tranny. After having gone through the whole transmission and refreshing it the last item to be put back on is the rubber transmission mount on the rear of the 4 speed; I noticed it has an angle to it and I am unsure if that is because of wear and tear, or is it supposed to be slightly angled?
If so, which way is the angle supposed to face? I'm wondering if there is a slight tilt because it is behind a slant 6?
